From Queenstown toward Glenorchy at the
northern end of Lake Wakatipu is the gateway to famous walking tracks such
as the Routeburn, Greenstone Caples, Rees Dart and Dart River Valley
wilderness jet boat adventures; and for followers of "Lord Of The Rings"
another of several filming locations around Queenstown. Travelling south from
Queenstown to Kingston at the southern tip of Lake Wakatipu en route to
Fiordland, is the base for the Kingston Flyer historic steam train
excursion. |
